3D Printed mounting system for the Gilbert Engineering Star 36-270. These mounts have been completely redesigned to eliminate the need to use the stock coro clamps to attach the vertical pipe to the star. The mounts are available in two conduit configurations based on how you plan to mount the star to the topper. The 1/2″ threaded pipe with 1/2″ EMT is the original version where the vertical support is threaded pipe which then threads into a floor flange that is installed on the topper. The 3/4″ EMT version allows one to use Maker Pipe fittings to attach the EMT conduit to the topper. The bottom and top mounts are the primary connection to the topper and the support conduit attaches slightly different compared to our other mounts in order to increase strength. At each mount a 2.5″ long 1/4 x 20 machine screw is inserted on the top of the mount and attaches to a 1/4 x 20 nut that you insert into the underside of the mount. This creates an incredibly strong post that will support the primary loads of the topper. The horizontal supports are made with either 1/2″ or 3/4″ EMT conduit (depending on the version purchased) and at the center junction point a 3/4″ PVC cross is used to connect the threaded pipe or EMT conduit using the included bushings. On all versions you want the vertical support conduit to run continuously between the top and bottom mounts with the horizontal span made from two shorter pieces. Colors may vary, typically they are white or black. If you have a specific color request for white or black please include a note indicating your preference with your order, but keep in mind that it may increase processing time for in-stock items. Includes 3D printed parts only.
