Description Each of these Mervyn Gers pieces are individually hand-sculpted from earthenware, embodying the organic look and feel of kiln-fired clay. During the creative process, the clay is mixed with finely milled ceramic to form a rougher texture which can then be shaped and fired at a temperature of 1200°C. The final stoneware is checked thoroughly for quality and consistency, after which it undergoes a hand glazing process that provides the perfect finish. Embodied in the irregular and structural nuances of each ceramic piece, is the artisanal nature of this expertly crafted tableware.
